Environmental Management System
Southwestern has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) that conforms
to the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems, ISO 14001:2004-11-15.
Southwestern’s EMS ensures the implementation of our Environmental Protection Program Policy, which states,
"Southwestern shall strive for excellence in the protection of the environment by conducting operations in a
manner that meets DOE guidelines and applicable Federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Southwestern will strive for continual improvement and pollution prevention.
The ISO standard 14001-2004-11-15 will be used as a guide."
