Principles for System Reliability
May 4-7
Presented by SOS, International

Principles for System Reliability: Generation, Transmission & Critical Decision Making is a four-day, instructor-led, classroom-based program that trains Operating Personnel in generation and transmission fundamentals, then uses this knowledge in a series of simulation drills to reinforce operator skills under a variety of conditions. The program is organized into two distinct halves – the first two days focus on the basics of generator and transmission facility operation and how they affect Bulk Electric System reliability in both normal and emergency conditions. The second two days focus on implementing newly acquired or refreshed knowledge using the PowerSimulator™ in a team setting. This allows participants to become proficient at recognizing emergency situations and responding appropriately using the applicable NERC standards and effective team communication and decision-making.
