Southwestern is required to dispose of real and personal property when it is no longer needed to fulfill the agency’s mission. Most property is disposed of through the
General Services Administration.
However, Executive Order 12999 allows Federal agencies to transfer excess computer and related peripheral equipment directly to schools and some educational nonprofit organizations, and Southwestern occasionally has limited excess computers available for this program.
